Conopid Fly

A Conops vesicularis (Diptera: Conopidae).  The larvae are parasites of bees while the adults, judging from their yellow-brown colour, are hornet mimics.

Specimen taken at Balmer Lawn, Brockenhurst, UK, on 2015-05-16.
