Tephritid Flies

A pair of Terellia tussilaginis (Diptera: Tephritidae) mating on a burdock flower-head (Arctium sp)

And this is three males if the same species competing for a female.

Photos taken in the field to the west of Chazey Wood, near Caversham, UK, on 2013-07-21.
