Sepsid Fly

A Sepsid fly, possibly species Nemapoda nitidula (Diptera: Sepsidae).  Note that it lacks the wing spots that would mark it as a Sepsis sp.

Photos taken in Whiteknights Park, Reading, UK, on 2010-08-15.
